About Me

Hi, I’m Siddharth Urankar, a senior at the University of Cincinnati, majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics and certifications in Business Analytics and Software Engineering. As a University Honors Scholar, I’ve built my time here around a simple belief: learning should extend beyond the classroom, shaped by real-world experience and a curiosity to solve meaningful problems.

Originally from India and now calling Cincinnati home, I’ve had the chance to shape a diverse academic journey. My interests sit at the intersection of technology, business, and human-centered design. Through research projects in machine learning and immersive technologies at UC’s XR Labs, to hands-on experience in digital healthcare innovation and global exchange programs, I’ve sought out spaces where disciplines collide and new ideas emerge.

This past year, I studied abroad at Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) in Switzerland, where I deepened my understanding of computer vision and artificial intelligence in a new cultural setting. I’m also honored to represent UC as part of the Ruhr Fellowship Program in Germany, an opportunity to expand my global perspective and work in international energy and sustainability research.

Throughout my time at UC, I’ve valued leadership and community. As an Honors Ambassador and Student Onboarding Mentor, I’ve worked closely with new students to help them find their footing and thrive. I also stay connected to campus life through involvement in student government, engineering organizations, and honors leadership teams. Beyond UC, I’ve contributed as a Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador and participated in programs like McKinsey Forward and Break Through Tech.

Looking ahead, I’m interested in building a career that blends emerging technologies with social impact, using data science, AI, and thoughtful design to create systems that are not only efficient, but equitable. Whether through research, industry, or entrepreneurship, my goal is to keep learning, stay adaptable, and work on projects that have real-world meaning.

Outside of academics, you’ll usually find me exploring new places, I’ve traveled to over 21 countries, or learning languages, a passion that keeps me connected to different cultures and ways of thinking.

Thanks for visiting my portfolio, I’m excited to share a part of my journey with you.
